 Summary Statement:

Provides intensive treatment per approved plan which addresses the development of behavioral, communication, social, and functional skills based upon the application of scientifically established procedures from special education, child psychiatry, clinical psychology including behavior analytic therapy and child development.  Provides treatment interventions on a continuous basis in the home and community.  Collects data and writes progress notes reflecting responses to interventions for each treatment goal and objective.  Receives clinical supervision and provides input to the treatment team for monitoring of progress and plan development.

 Duties and Responsibilities

1.                  Implements intensive interventions with child as stated in Goals from (D.H.S.) Department of Human Services/CEDARR Center approved treatment plan.

2.                  Provides intensive treatment in areas of development of behavioral, communication, social and functional skills to include:  increasing language, improving attention to tasks, enhancing imitation, generalizing social behaviors, developing independence skills, decreasing aggression or other maladaptive behaviors, and learning problem solving skills (e.g. organization, conflict resolution, and relaxation training).

3.                  Responsible for collection of data, completion of progress notes reflecting responses to intervention for each goal.

4.                  Provides input to treatment team as necessary for monitoring of progress and plan development.

5.                  Provides feedback to clinical supervisor during weekly sessions specific to child, family and plan implementation.

6.                  Responsible to provide feedback to Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and/or Speech and Language therapist as applicable.

7.                  Reports potential safety/health and significant incidents to supervision.

8.                  Performs other duties as assigned.
